This event is designed to encourage participation by young athletes, and offer established runners a fast outdoor mile!
The event's races are run on a completely closed course on The Boulevard beside Quidi Vidi, starting near the Bandstand and finishing just past the bridge at the bottom of the Lake. Runners will depart the start in waves according to their pace or grade so everyone will get a good start.

Amelia Bazeley set a new women's record for the Mile in a time of 4:52 (deduct 2:00 wave time from photo time shown), while David Mack recorded the second fastest ever Men's time of 4:23. Other top times were Jack O'Dea in 4:37 and Chris Payne in 4:40 for the Men, with Tiffany Furneaux in 5:24 and Laura Lawes in 5:45 for the Women.
